Gliding sectors
Etuna West and Kvicksund have 450 m when they are not open. EFK opens them to 1350 m or 1850 m depending on the cloud base. Helle West has 1350 m but can be opened to 1850 m. Eskilstuna East requires a separate flight permit from Västerås TWR on 130.605 MHz if you want to fly higher than 450 m. Ekeby 01 is the same as Etuna West except for the small area east of the field.
PPR
Ekeby may only be used for gliding and model aircraft flying. Visiting motorised aircraft are referred to Kjula ESSU.
Model aircraft
Model aircraft often fly up to 150 m above the model airfield.
WARNING
Do not fly below 200 m above the model airfield when approaching.
Trafikvarv:
- Gliding: Left turn runway 05/23.
- Tug aircraft: Left turn runway 05, right turn runway 23.
Good to know
- Radio 123.200 MHz. We apply silent traffic. We only report tailwind on landing and 10 km left on final approach if nothing special happens. Tug planes are silent except during radio control before take-off.Always check that the gliding sectors are still open when you return from a cross-country flight. Västerås can open its airspace and close our sectors with half an hour's notice. If EFK does not respond, contact Västerås TWR on 130.605 MHz.
